To start a claim with ADGM Courts you must first register with ADGM eCourts Platform. Following registration, you will be taken to your personalised home page where you will be able to complete an online claim form or upload a claim form that you have already completed. All of ADGM Courts’ forms are prescribed and can be found on our website here. You must use one of these forms for any document that you wish to file, including your claim form. Fees for commencing a claim depend upon the nature of the claim and the Division in which the claim is to be filed. That is, whether the claim is a money and/ or property claim or for an unspecified sum of money, or if the claim is to be commenced in the Small Claims, Commercial and Civil or Employment Division. Payment of ADGM Courts’ fees can be made either through Electronic Funds Transfer or by Credit Card. If you pay by Credit Card, your document can be processed immediately, provided that the document complies with the prescribed form and sets out the information required.
ADGM Courts' procedures are set out in the ADGM Court Procedure Rules and Practice Directions. They are located on our website here. Our Procedural Flowcharts will assist you in determining the relevant rule or practice direction for each step to be taken in a case.
ADGM Courts will conduct all proceedings in English. If a party or witness requires the assistance of an interpreter, the Registrar of ADGM Courts should be advised of this well in advance of the time that the interpreter is required and the party must arrange a suitably qualified and licensed interpreter at their own expense. The interpreter must present their credentials and license when they attend a court hearing, or submit their credentials and license to the Registrar 24 hours’ in advance of any video-conference hearing.

If you change law firms or organisations, you must have your Organisation Administrator deactivate you from registration with the law firm or organisation you are leaving. You can then re-register yourself under your new law firm or organisation.
No. ADGM Court of First Instance has jurisdiction under section 16 (2)(e) of the ADGM Courts' Regulations in respect of any written request of the parties to have the claim heard and determined by the Court. This request is provided for on all prescribed claim forms. In relation to registration and access to ADGM eCourts Platform, the portal can be accessed remotely from any location on any day at any time.

ADGM eCourts Platform is a secure portal that can only be accessed by you, your Organisation Administrator (if you are in a law firm or in-house legal team), or any delegate to whom you have provided access to that case. Members of the public do not have access to any case names, except as provided by the Court in hearing lists published by the Court on any given day. Access to court records by parties and non-parties is governed by Rule 14 of the ADGM Court Procedure Rules.
